Will I fail a drug test?

Almost certainly yes if THC is tested. THC metabolites can stay in urine for days to weeks depending on use frequency and body composition.

Can I drive?

No — not while you feel effects. Even medical cannabis is a DUI in every U.S. state if you're impaired behind the wheel.

Will I get addicted?

Dependence is real but less severe than alcohol or opioids. About 9% of adult users develop cannabis use disorder; higher if use starts in adolescence.

Can I mix with alcohol?

Technically yes, but it's stronger than either alone. Alcohol accelerates THC absorption and both depress the CNS.

Will it interact with my blood pressure meds?

Usually tolerable, but THC can briefly drop your blood pressure or raise your heart rate. Sit for your first few doses.

I'm on a blood thinner. Is cannabis safe?

Talk to your prescriber first. Both THC and CBD can raise blood levels of warfarin and similar drugs by inhibiting the enzymes that metabolize them.

How much should I take the first time?

Start at 2.5 mg of THC for edibles or tinctures. Wait the full onset window (1–2 hours for edibles) before taking more.

Will it actually help my pain?

There's good evidence for chronic pain, neuropathic pain, and cancer-related pain. Acute pain response is weaker.

Does it help or hurt anxiety?

CBD helps most people. THC helps some and worsens others — especially at high doses.

Do I need a medical card?

In Arkansas and most medical-only states, yes. In adult-use states, a card still gets you higher limits, lower taxes, and better pharmacist access.

Do cannabis products expire?

Flower loses potency and terpenes over 6–12 months. Edibles follow their food ingredients' expiration. Tinctures last 1–2 years properly stored.

How should I store cannabis?

Cool, dark, airtight, out of reach of children and pets. A glass jar in a drawer beats a plastic bag on a counter.

Can I overdose?

No fatal cannabis overdose has ever been reported. But you can absolutely take uncomfortably too much, especially with edibles.

My doctor seems uncomfortable talking about cannabis.

A lot of physicians weren't trained in it and feel out of their depth. Ask your pharmacist instead — most pharmacy programs have updated their curriculum.

Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

No. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists advises against all cannabis during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
